This wonderful cameo of a lady was carved out of Cornelian shell and framed in 14kt yellow gold. The carving is highlighted by its unusual color, which gives notice to the artist's detail in the lady's necklace and hair. The cameo measures 55mm. It has a foldown bale in the back so it may be used also as a pendant.
